We boast our own traditional favorites - surely, you’ve heard of Buffalo Chicken Wings? They’re actually chicken wings marinated in secret sauces and deep fried or baked. A staple of snacking in other parts of the country, they’ve even been spotted in London Pubs. While you’re here, better get the real thing.

Another of the Buffalo Niagara Falls region's indigenous foods is Beef on Weck. More accurately, kummelweck – a German kaiser roll sprinkled with caraway seeds and pretzel salt and baked again until crusty. It’s piled high with fresh roast beef, au jus and spiced with horseradish. If you’re in Buffalo on a Friday you simply must partake in our traditional Friday night fish fry. It’s worth extending your stay to enjoy beer-battered, baked or fried fish served with fries and coleslaw at one of our area taverns, diners or cafés.
